Alexandra Cazes was born in Novosibirsk, Russia, and grew up in a family of artists. Although she earned a Master’s degree in Finance and spent 15 years working in the banking sector, she remained deeply passionate about art throughout her life.

From 2021 to 2023, while living in Singapore with her husband and son, she began painting with watercolors and enrolled in a series of online courses focused on contemporary art. This experience prompted her to pursue formal studies, and she obtained the Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts (distance learning) at the École des Arts de la Sorbonne, Paris, France.

Today, she lives and works in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Her artistic journey spans multiple geographies and personal chapters, enriching a practice rooted in oil painting, gesture, and the materiality of color and texture. Between Southeast Asia and Europe, she explores themes of memory, disappearance, and silent forms through her evolving visual language.

In 2025-2026, she plans to continue working in her studio with oil painting, further investigating the interplay of layers, texture, and the sensitive trace of memory.
